F69 Bow

December 23, 2023

For the second dive of the afternoon, we moored at the bow of the F69 wreck in Wellington. The bow has turned on its right side but much of it has been torn away and submerged in sand.

There was a majestic Jasons Mirabilis Nudibranch on the bowspirit of the F69. There was a good current so its "hair" was flowing in the "wind".

The visibility wasn't great. Looking back on the bow with the bowspirit in the foreground.

There were lots of Moki on the side of the bow facing the current.

The 12 ton guns are mounted on the deck of the F69's bow. Hard to see in this visibility but still impressive nonetheless.

And that wrapped up my pre-Christmas dives.
