Crayfish Puppet

May 2, 2026

A nice day for a chilly dive in 13oC water.

Blue Moki

Early on in the dive, I found the molted shell of a crayfish. A common enough sight. There were some blue cod around and getting interested so, on a whim, I used the crayfish as a puppet to entertain a host of cod.

Later in the dive, we came across about a dozen golf balls. Clearly somone had been hitting them out into the ocean. Their accuracy was pretty good because they were all clustered together.

The rest of the dive was the usual assortment of wildlife.
