The Pinnacles

July 31, 2011

During our surface interval we took a  trip back to the dive shop to fill up our tanks and warm up a bit. For the second dive of the day we made our way to The Pinnacles, another simple Reef dive. By now Michael has rented a 7 mm wet suit too so he was ready to go. This time when we strode into the water, on one hand, I was much more prepared but, on the other hand, I was still a bit chilled from the previous dive. I adjusted quickly but was colder starting out.

Unfortunately this dive wasn't quite as eventful as our previous dive. Here's a shot of Fred (left) and Michael (right) diving just above the kelpy ocean floor.

I came across another colorful starfish.

At least one interesting fish swam by during the dive.

By the end of the dive there wasn't much else to see so it was time for some portraits.

And that concluded our day of diving. A very cold but very worthwhile experience.
